Fext – Goddess of Death and the Afterlife
Fext, the Ghreal’s Queen of Death, is a hauntingly slim, skeletal woman, donned in long black and purple robes which do nothing to hide away her skeletal frame. Aside from her skeletal appearance, Fext has eyes of the blackest jet, which contrast starkly to her white skin and hair.
Fext is the Queen of Death. It is said in Ghreal culture that that when you die she visits your soul and decides whether it is banished to hell or elevated to heaven; a decision that depends on the manner of your death and how one favoured her in life. She is the queen of the afterlife.
Fext, being the goddess who governs the eternal afterlife that awaits all ghreal, is worshiped with perhaps most reverence of the ghreal deities. Although all ghreal revel in war and power, death always comes to them, and thus every ghreal makes at least three pilgrimages to her temple in Drimacius in their lifetime to offer something valuable to her.
It is said that the vaults below her temple are brimming with gold and jewels.
Thaine, Master of Power
Thaine appears as a strong, proud male ghreal whose avatar depicts him approaching old age, yet he shows no sign of deterioration or aging, instead remaining strong and youthful.
Thaine is the god of power. This includes all realms of power, from that of metal fortitude, to physical strength, martial prowess, and magical domination. All ghreal revere Thaine for his mastery over all things that makes one strong, and strive to achieve his level of perfection.
Thaine is the most commonly seen god around ghreal cities, with statues of him appearing everywhere from street corners to grand palaces to modest busts of him within ghreal dwellings. He is a reminder to always strive for more, to achieve greater things, and to never become lax in one's duties.
Pyianix, the God of War
A mighty looking warrior, sporting spear and shield and adorned in ornate and brilliant armour. His pose is one of action; he is often depicted impaling enemies on his spear or standing triumphant over opponents.
The god of war and battle, Pyianix is worshiped by the warriors of the ghreal armies. He is the epitome of the warrior and will lend a hand in swaying Fext's choice about you if you fought and died well for Ghrea.
In battle, music is played for him. The ghreal have no tongue for song, but their drums and horns sound out for Pyianix to aid them in the coming conflict; a sound that not only drives the ghreal forward but also strikes fear into the hearts of their enemies.
